Wearables for Seniors

 

Health wearables - electronics that can be worn on the body as an accessory or as part of material used in clothing - can be considered a revolutionary way to measure heart rate, temperature, activity and hydration of the wearer during active and sedentary times. Some come with an associated app to monitor the status of the wearer. Even "smart underwear" has become available. Besides the obvious benefit of being able to monitor key health numbers, wearables have the advantage of being fashionable or discrete, making them more appealing to seniors who may have avoided them due to the stigma of wearing an assistive device.
